Introducing Nicky, one of our Queensland customer service all-stars.
What’s your title, and what do you do?
As a Customer Service & Internal Sales team member in the Brisbane office, I provide customer service in counter sales, take care of internal and external customers, process orders, answer phones, take payments, and manage our C4s and NCRs.
How did you become part of the Ai team? How long have you been here?
I started in 2018 after applying for the job on Seek. I worked in the building industry before, but on the retail side.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Helping customers with enquiries and being able to solve their problems or answer their questions and working with the team. I really enjoy everything I do, I like it all. I enjoy learning new things, too.
What I love about Brisbane:
I love the location where I’m situated … 10 minutes from the water and close up the coast. There are beautiful walks in the bush and the mountains, as well. The location is superb.
My favorite place ever traveled:
Love Melbourne; I really enjoyed it. The Great Ocean Road, the markets, the cafes … everything.
In Brisbane, Mount Tamborine. It’s relaxing and not commercialised, with nice little cafes. It’s a nice place to go and relax in the cabin.
Walks on the water, running the kids around to their activities, catching up with family and friends, enjoying cafes with people, gym-time when I can get it. And time to just chill, to refresh and smell the flowers.
Weirdest thing I’ve ever eaten:
I eat anything. I’ll try almost anything once, I’m not a fussy eater.
I like to make people laugh. I have a tendency to say stuff before I think and put my foot in it. Then think, “uh, that was a bit random.”
My friends notice when I’m not around. If I’ve stopped to talk with someone, they’ll tell me I need to come back.
